INTRODUCTION

ONE Fighting Championship™ (One FC) is Asia’s largest sports media property, broadcast globally to more than 1 billion homes across 75 countries. One FC will host their first Middle East event in Dubai, which is set to be the biggest night in the history of mixed martial arts.

THE COMMUNICATIONS CHALLENGE

Spread Communications was tasked with ensuring media attendance and publicizing the ONE FC event, with the aim of generating quality media interest and a community buzz around the event, as well as contributing to the increase of ticket sales.

THE COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY

Spread Communications deployed an extensive media outreach campaign across dailies, business, consumer, online and broadcast media  to promote ONE FC  amongst target audiences.

RESULTS

Below are the outcomes that Spread achieved for One Fighting Championship.

  • Awareness of the One FC was high amongst consumers in the Middle East, driven by excellent press coverage across the regions with over 100 pieces of coverage including full page feature articles across Gulf News, The National, Sports 360 classic news
  • The buzz around the event was instant, with attending journalists live-tweeting extensively
  • 16 interviews were conducted with tier 1 publications including broadcast media
  • A primary focus was placed on dailies and broadcast media, resulting in quality coverage across all the major English & Arabic dailies, as well as consumer titles
  • Interviews was also secured on Physique TV, City 7 TV, Abu Dhabi classic FM, Dubai Eye radio
